Born from the Pit, Built for California

Baba's Smokehouse was born from a simple truth: Halal BBQ in California was nowhere near where it should be. Azfar Qureshi — Baba — set out to change that. After years of perfecting Texas-style smoking techniques and adapting them for beef, lamb, and chicken, Baba's opened its doors to feed the whole community.

We believe great BBQ should be for everyone. Our 100% Halal kitchen means Muslim families can sit down to the same fire-kissed, slow-smoked experience everyone else gets — without compromise.

We smoke everything in-house, 12+ hours at a time, over real hardwood. No shortcuts. No pork. No pretending.

Yes — 100% Zabiha Halal, every cut, every time. We operate a Halal-only kitchen with no cross-contamination. We source from certified Halal suppliers only.
Do you offer pork or non-Halal options? +
No. Baba's Smokehouse is a 100% Halal operation. We don't serve pork and never will. This is intentional — it's our commitment to the Muslim community and to quality.
Where do you deliver? +
Fresh smoked BBQ (plates, whole cuts, combos) is available for local pickup at Sunnyvale, CA, or local delivery within the Sunnyvale/Bay Area.
How far in advance do I need to book catering? +
We require at least 5 days notice. For large events (100+ guests, Eid gatherings, weddings), please give us 2 weeks minimum so we can source and smoke everything fresh for you.
How do I reheat whole smoked cuts? +
Easy — wrap in foil, add a splash of water or beef broth, and warm in the oven at 275°F for 45–60 min. Tastes just-smoked. Every pickup order comes with our reheating guide.
How does the loyalty program work? +
Every order earns you one stamp. After 10 stamps, your 11th order gets 20% off — automatically. Sign up with just your phone number, no app needed. We track your stamps and text you when you're close to a reward. Orders during Ramadan count as 2 stamps. You can also earn a free side by referring a friend who places their first order.
